Our delightful early spring harvest Hong Bi Luo tea is a classic Yunnan tea grown and produced in Simao, by tea farming families with generations and generations of craft experience.
Hong Bi Luo was picked as one leaf to one bud and processed carefully by twisting the tea into “snail-like” rounds. Yunnan hong (red) teas benefit from a short aging period and develop a sweet taste and lovely fragrance with a hint of vanilla and malt.
Once steeped, Hong Bi Luo tea releases a copper reddish brown infusion that is naturally sweet- it is a cup with zero astringency, and it is rich tasting, with notes of hay and clover honey. Enjoy each steep of Hong Bi Luo.
